From 1991 to 1995, Antonello was Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture at IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) in Milan.
In 2007, in collaboration with Beretta Associati and Omar Berri (Studio R19), he won the international competition for the construction of a residential complex in Monteluce (Perugia), based on a masterplan developed by the Munich-based studio Bolles + Wilson.
His research and writings explore a variety of topics, including architecture in the historic centers of the Po Valley.
